I had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel’s interior is beautiful and inviting, but the room could use some updates. The bathroom was decent but wasn't in the best condition. Breakfast was tasty, but I was disappointed that no other meals were available since Covid.

Casa Don Gustavo has a charming traditional decor and is ideally located in the vibrant old town of Campeche, surrounded by many restaurants and bars. The rooms are nicely done, but be cautious of noise at night from the street, especially in master suites. The breakfast left much to be desired, and I found the hotel a bit overpriced compared to other options nearby. Overall, it has great potential but requires some improvements.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were attractively decorated with traditional furniture and had enough space. However, noise from the street was quite disruptive during the night.
Service
7.0
The staff was kind and helpful, especially with parking and managing luggage. However, service at breakfast could be improved significantly.
Location

The location is central, right in the heart of the walled city on a pedestrian street, making it convenient to explore many attractions on foot.
Dining

The dining experience was disappointing; breakfast options were poor and not up to par with what I expected.
Facilities

The small pool area was nice, providing a quiet spot to relax when not crowded, but could use better management.

My stay was quite enjoyable overall, showcasing a charming interior with clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast was tasty, but the pool was in need of cleaning. While the location is excellent in the heart of the city, there were some noise issues from nearby restaurants. The overall value was pretty good, though the room details could use some updates.

Rooms

The room was large, clean, and had a lovely Spanish colonial vibe, even though it felt a bit dated. I appreciated the spaciousness and comfort, with a small balcony overlooking the street.
Service
8.0
The service was attentive and friendly, always with smiles. However, breakfast service was a bit slow on Sunday, which was a minor inconvenience.
Location

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, right at the center next to many attractions and restaurants, making it easy to explore Campeche. This is great during the day's heat but be prepared for noise at night due to outdoor dining.

Breakfast was good, offering fresh and local cuisine, although it was slightly slow on Sundays. I enjoyed a variety of options, especially the local dishes.

The pool area was less than ideal, as it was dirty during my visit. This was disappointing because it could have been a great space to relax.

My stay at this boutique hotel was quite enjoyable, with a beautiful ambiance and exceptional service. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, although the noise from the nearby street could be bothersome at night. I loved the hidden gem feel of the place, making it a perfect retreat amidst the city's hustle. However, the pool's cleanliness was a letdown. Overall, it was a memorable experience worth every bit.

Rooms

The rooms were stunningly appointed with antique pieces, offering a comfortable and cozy atmosphere despite being on a busy street.

10.0
The service was warm and attentive, truly going above and beyond to meet my needs and make my stay special.
Location
9.0
Located right in the heart of the city, I found the location unbeatable, surrounded by restaurants and attractions, although the pedestrian street's noise at night was noticeable.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was included and offered a good variety, but I found some items to be quite basic and not up to the hotel's high standards.
Facilities

The pool area was a nice touch, but it was unfortunately unclean during my visit, which detracted from its potential as a relaxing spot.

We had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is excellent, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Unfortunately, we faced significant noise issues due to nearby renovations, which significantly impacted our stay. While the rooms were spacious and furnished with antiques, they lacked modern comfort in some areas, which was disappointing given the high expectations.

Rooms
7.0
The room was large and clean, with antique furnishings that added character, but the layout allowed for some unsightly water leakage from the shower area.
Service
9.0
The service was commendable; the staff was incredibly courteous and responsive to our needs, especially during our room change.
Location
10.0
Situated right in the heart of the city, the location made it easy to explore the charm of the local area, although the street was lively.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast offerings were limited and a bit uninspired, but the lunch we had was tasty and well-prepared.
Facilities
7.0
While the hotel has a quaint ambiance with its classic décor, it could use some modern updates for a more comfortable stay.
